Ginger St. James

Ginger and I have known each other for a few years now. I have always been in awe of her talent and stage presence ever since I saw her perform at the Moonshine Café about ten years ago. About a year ago Ginger asked me to photograph her and Snowhill Slim as the Trainwreck Two before they headed to Nashville for a music competition. We stayed in touch and I offered to photograph her for new promo shots. New promo shots turned into a logo and a new website. Why not go all out? Rebrand party!

Ginger is an established songwriter and performer. But her image needed an update to reflect some personal changes and a new direction for her career. Her website needed an upgrade.

I worked through my logo design process to develop her wordmark—showing the steps and the reasoning behind all the choices I made (form, colour, typography, variations).

Ginger’s website was already established on Bandzoogle. So I made a mockup of the site before committing any changes. Once they were approved, I created the site on her account.
