THE PROJECT
Lucky Guy gave us an opportunity to think about a podcast as more than recorded conversation. The artwork and music could work together to establish the world of the show before the episode really began.
THE CHALLENGE
Create a visual and sonic identity that felt specific to the podcast rather than combining unrelated cover art with generic intro music.
THE APPROACH
Develop the artwork and original music together, using both image and sound to establish the personality and atmosphere of the show.
WHAT WE MADE
We created original artwork and music for Lance Darren Cole's Lucky Guy podcast, approaching the two elements as parts of one identity. The cover art established a visual tone while the custom-composed music set the atmosphere at the start of the listening experience. Developing them together helped the show feel more distinctive than a generic cover paired with unrelated stock audio.
THE RESULT
A more complete podcast identity in which the visual and sonic elements reinforce the same idea and give listeners a recognizable entry point into the show.
