This shoot was created as a birthday gift for Ginger St. James and became a practical promotional asset for her music career. Photographed where she lives, the session was designed to capture a country-girl, girl-next-door feeling that felt true to her personality while giving her a strong library of usable images for touring, publicity and promotion. THE CHALLENGE
Create a portrait session that felt personal and generous in spirit while still functioning as a professional promotional shoot. The images needed to reflect Ginger’s personality, support her public image as an artist, and be versatile enough for use across tour promotion, publications, festival materials and music-related marketing.

WHAT WE MADE
I planned and photographed a country-girl promo session for Ginger St. James, creating a set of images that balanced personality with promotional usefulness. The final photographs were used across multiple contexts, including tour and promo materials, publications, Busted Flat Records and festival promotion. One of the images was enlarged into a life-size cutout that Ginger used to help promote her shows, extending the shoot beyond print and digital use into a physical promotional piece.
